Fraudulent Automated Calls to Home-Care Patients
Recently, some of our home-care patients have received fraudulent automated telephone calls. The automated message claims to be from the Champlain LHIN or CCAC, and informs patients that they will be discharged from home and community care services, but that they can purchase additional services.
These calls are not from the Champlain LHIN (formerly Champlain CCAC). Please note that the Champlain LHIN will always speak directly with you about any changes to your home and community care services, and we will not ask you to pay for existing services. If you have questions about your services, please contact your Care Coordinator.
- Please do not respond to any telephone call or message that indicates that your services may change, or that payment is required.
- Please report any suspicious telephone calls or emails to email@example.com or call us (613.747.6784 , or toll-free 1.866.902.5446).
