Collaborative Board Governance

The Champlain LHIN Board of Directors engage LHIN-funded health service providers (Providers) and key funding partners in a manner of dialogue known as Collaborative Board Governance. It can be defined as boards working together effectively to achieve a common goal. In our case, the common goal is the successful implementation of the LHIN Integrated Health Service Plan, and other integration priorities.

The intent is to create a better alignment of our collective health objectives within the LHIN’s overall community engagement and legal framework.

The LHIN / Health Service Provider Governance Resource and Toolkit on Voluntary Integration Initiatives was developed through a joint initiative of five LHINs, associations representing Providers, and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Other resources are available on the Pan-LHIN website.
